Hove knifepoint robbery: "a brazen offence"

A shopkeeper was robbed of alcohol and cigarettes after a man entered the P&J Convenience store on Sackville Road and threatened him with a knife last Saturday 11 February.

The suspect entered the store at around 3.50pm and pointed a 3-4" knife at the victim before leaving the store with his stolen goods and heading south along Sackville Road.
Detective Constable Sophie Tullet from Brighton and Hove CID said: "This was a brazen offence to happen in the afternoon. I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of the offence and saw any suspicious activity to please get in touch. Please call 101 quoting serial 1013 of 11/2 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
The suspect is described as white, 20-30, 5' 7" and was wearing a light blue hoody with white bits under each arm and 'The Albion' written on the back. He had blue jeans, dark shoes, was wearing gloves, had the lower half of his face covered and was carrying a dark rucksack with a white patch on the front that may have been a pocket.
