There is still a large amount of fragments left in the compound under the root end of the West Pier, and there will be another auction for them this weekend.

The West Pier in Edwardian times
Pieces of the West Pier's structure, pillars, railings, lamp posts and other sections of ornamental ironwork have a precious historical value, of course, and can be used for all sorts of purposes in the home or garden.
Almost 900 individual pieces have already been sold, at prices from £4-£400, but there are plenty left.
The sale will take place on Saturday 3rd December 9.30-12.30 pm at the foot of the old Pier (for a little background, here's an interesting BBC Radio 4 programme on this architectural salvage sell-off in Making History, timing 14.17-28.30 on the recording).
