It's a lot of allotment

It's another world. Try if you can to get an allotment at Weald or help out someone who has one – it's big enough to feel you're in the country - almost - and people are so friendly and helpful. There's a shop which sells useful stuff like compost so you can just run your wheelbarrow over and pick up a good load. They're trying to find more space by splitting allotments in half now. That still makes a good space to grow your veg. We've got a small 'garden' (yard or sliver might be more accurate) and an allotment gives an extra dimension to living in Hove.
